As part of Alaska Airlines' email communication efforts, I performed the layout and coding of multiple email marketing communications pieces, in the form of newsletters and promotional messages using HTML and CSS. These email communications had to conform with the look and feel of Alaska Airlines' ongoing email campaign materials. In addition to maintaining the brand image, an important element of creating the emails was ensuring that they properly rendered across a variety of email clients, which often behave in a much different manner that regular web browsers.
I'd like to mention that these services were performed for Alaska Airlines as a contractor for, and in cooperation with, Smith-Harmon of Seattle.
Please take a look above to see an example of one of the emails created for Alaska Airlines…
“Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in the Seattle suburb of SeaTac, Washington, United States. Alaska operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Portland International Airport and manages a Mexico Gateway and focus city operations at Los Angeles International Airport.
Alaska Airlines and its sister carrier Horizon Air are both subsidiaries of Alaska Air Group. Alaska is also a substantial codeshare partner of both American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. In 2010, J. D. Power and Associates recognized Alaska Airlines as the top ‘Traditional Carrier’ in customer satisfaction for the third year in a row.” —overview from Wikipedia.
This site was created using a form of HTML5, some CSS with bits of CSS3 thrown in, and JavaScript with some help from JQuery.
I am using the fontface BPDietUltra for my headers, which can be found on FontSquirrel.
