The primary services offered to T-Mobile USA, were the creation of a series of Flash banner ads. These banner ads were developed in the form of polites, expandables and interpolls. The ads, which were designed to match the look and feel of other marketing efforts related to this offering, including Television spots being released concurrently, were distributed across a wide range of online sites, inlcuding MTV.com, Digg.com, ESPN.com, and others. In addition to the designs having to correlate with the look and feel of the other campaign materials, they still needed to follow the T-Mobile brand identity guidelines. Additionally, since these ads were for distribution across a large online advertising network, they had to fit the technical guidelines regarding categories such as file size, dimensions, and duration provided by the advertising network. These varied based on the type of ad, be it a polite, expandable or interpoll.
All the production versions of the banners were created using Flash and Actionscript.
As a note, these services were performed for T-Mobile as a contractor through the Creative Group for, and as part of a team at Publicis West in Seattle.
Please take a look above to see the outline of two example banner advertisements and one interpol created for T-Mobile…
“T-Mobile is a cellular telecommunications provider… Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, T-Mobile USA is currently the fourth-largest wireless carrier in the U.S. market…
T-Mobile USA tends to compete on value and advertises heavily to the family market.[2] Historically, they have also pioneered new features; they were the first U.S. carrier to launch a ringback tones service nationally (CallerTunes), video messaging and "HiFi Ringers" (ringtones which are clips of an actual song), and they became the first company to use and promote the Android operating system from Google, with the launch of the G1.
As of 2010, T-Mobile USA has captured at least 18 J.D. Power Awards in the areas of customer care, call quality, and overall customer satisfaction. ” —excerpted from Wikipedia.
